Join and celebrate Stockholm’s cultural and world heritage, visit chapels and take short guided tours in Swedish.

Saturday 3 September 10am—4pm

With the Nordic landscape and architecture, Skogskyrkogården has influenced the design of cemeteries all over the world. It is one of the most important creations in modern architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.

On the Woodland Cemetery Day, you can follow and hear about one of the architects, Sigurd Lewerentz, you get to know the landscape and how it is cared for and given an insight into what it is like to work at a cemetery. We also have a guided family tour during the day.

Several of the chapels are open during the day.

Free tour tickets are picked up at the Visitors center the same day.
